Product Images Sterile Water

This is a description of a 1000 mL sterile water for injection used as a diluent for drugs. It is a single-dose container intended for intravenous use with caution applied to maintaining sterility. It contains no antimicrobial or other substance, is not isotonic and may be hemolytic. The solution is non-pyrogenic, and the pH ranges from 5.0 to 7.0. The product is manufactured and sold by ICU Medical, Inc. in Lake Forest, Illinois, and is available with an NDC number of 0990-7990-09.*

This is a set of instructions for opening a container. There is a tear notch to use for opening, but the overwrap should not be removed until the container is ready to be used. Prior to use, the container should be checked for any leaks by squeezing it firmly. If there are leaks, the solution should be discarded as it may not be sterile. The recommended storage temperature is room temperature, and protection from excessive heat and freezing is also recommended. There is an insert that should be referenced for further information.*
