This is a potassium and sodium electrolyte solution with 20 mEq of potassium per 1000 mL. It contains potassium chloride and sodium chloride in water for injection. The solution should be stored at 20 to 25°C, protected from freezing, and only used if the container is undamaged and the solution is clear. The solution is for IV use only and should not be used in series connections. The usual dosage should be seen in the insert. When introducing additives, aseptic technique should be used, thoroughly mixed, and not stored. It contains DEHP and is sterile and non-pyrogenic. It is recommended to consult with a pharmacist for incompatible additives as the additives may be incompatible.*
