This is an ophthalmic solution called Mydriacyl. It contains Tropicamide (1%) and is used as a sterile anticholinergic agent. The medication is used topically on the eyes and the usual dosage is one or two drops. It has a preservative called Benzalkonium Chloride (0.01%) and other inactive ingredients like sodium chloride, edentate disodium, hydrochloric acid, and purified water. The solution must be stored at temperatures between 8-27°C and should not be refrigerated or stored in high temperatures.*

Mydriacyl 1% is a sterile anticholinergic agent for topical ophthalmic use only. Each mL contains 1% tropicamide as an active ingredient and 0.01% benzalkonium chloride as a preservative. Other inactive ingredients include sodium chloride, edetate disodium, hydrochloric acid, and/or sodium hydrcmde (to adjust pH), and purified water. It should be stored at 8™-27°C (46°-80°F) and the container must be kept tightly closed. One or two drops of Mydriacyl should be applied topically in the eye(s), and the dropper tip should not touch any surface to avoid contamination. Patients are advised to read the enclosed insert before use. The product is manufactured by Alcon Laboratories, Inc. in Fort Worth, Texas.*
