Cetacaine Liquid Topical Anesthetic is a pain control product formulated for professional use to control pain on the site applied. It is effective on mucous membrane only, and tissue does not need to be dried before product use. It is provided as a liquid in a 30g container with a Luer-lock dispenser cap. Cetacaine Liquid is produced within one minute and typically provides 30-60 minutes of anesthesia. The product's ingredients include benzocaine (14%), butamben (256), tetracaine HCI (25), benzalkonium chloride, cetalkonium dimethylethylammonium bromide, dipropylene glycol, flavoring, and saccharin. The package insert provides more information on indications, contraindications, dosage, administration, and other important information. The dosage information indicates that 200mg liquid in excess of 400mg is contraindicated. Cetacaine Liquid should not be used on the eyes, and it should be stored at controlled room temperature of 20-25°C.*
