This is a label for a compressed oxygen container. The container contains USP oxygen produced through air liquefaction. It is important to keep the container upright and for emergency use only when administered by trained personnel. High concentrations of oxygen may be harmful if used for long durations without monitoring its effects. The oxygen should only be used with pressure reducing equipment and apparatus. This product cannot be dispensed without a prescription from a doctor. The oxygen is cold and under pressure which vigorously accelerates combustion. It may cause severe frostbite and it is essential to avoid contact with oil, grease, and combustibles. The container should be stored and used with adequate ventilation. Face shields and gloves should be used when withdrawing oxygen in liquid form. The container temperature should not exceed 52°C. After each use and when empty, the valve should be closed. The Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) provides guidelines on use. In case of frostbite, immediate medical treatment is mandatory.*
