Ultravate is a lotion containing 0.05% halobetasol propionate that is used for external use only and not for eye use. It is usually applied twice daily to the affected skin areas or as directed by a physician. It is important not to use more than 50 grams per week. Each gram of Ultravate contains 0.5mg of halobetasol propionate. It should be stored at 25°C with excursions allowed between 15-30°C. It is protected from freezing. The lotion is a registered trademark of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Inc. Its inactive ingredients include disopropyl adipate, propylparaben, butylparaben, purified water, and others.
