Lox Label (Loxlabel)
OXYGEN, REFRIGERATED LIQUID, USP (UN 1073) is a highly oxidizing gas and liquid. It is under pressure and should always be stored in an upright position. Smoking is prohibited near the liquid or gas as it vigorously accelerates combustion, and contact with combustibles can cause an explosion. The container and equipment used for oxygen service need to be clean. Frostbite can result from any contact with the liquid. The product label advises wearing shields and gloves while handling it. The liquid should never be dropped, spilled, touched with bare hands, or walked on. The product's cautionary measures include the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), which medical personnel should review for first-aid purposes. For medical purposes, it is Rx Only, except for emergencies like oxygen deficiency or resuscitation. Uninterrupted use of high concentrations of oxygen over prolonged periods could have harmful effects on oxygen content, so it should only be used with oxygen-specific equipment and pressure reduction techniques. Produced by Air Liquefaction.*
