Refenesen is an expectorant that contains Guaifenesin at a dose of 400mg in each caplet. It helps to loosen phlegm and thin bronchial secretions making coughs more productive to clear the air passageways. Refenesen comes in a pack of 30 caplets which should be taken every 4 hours as needed, and a maximum of 6 caplets should be consumed in 24 hours. The usage of Refenesen is not suitable for children under 6 years old, and for those who suffer from chronic coughs, smoking-related diseases such as asthma or bronchitis, or emphysema.
