This is a description for an antifungal medication called "Lotrimin". It contains 2% miconazole nitrate and is used to treat athlete's foot, jock itch, and ringworm. The medication comes in a spray can and can relieve itching, burning, cracking, and scaling. It is intended for external use only and should not be used on children under 2 years of age without a doctor's advice or supervision. The medication is flammable and should not be stored above 120°F. If swallowed, medical help or Poison Control Center should be contacted right away. Spraying twice a day, morning and night on clean and dry affected areas for four weeks is recommended for athlete's foot and ringworm, and for two weeks for jock itch.
