It is not intended for immediate relief and may take up to four days to have full effects. There are multiple warnings, including not to use if allergic to Lansoprazole and to see a doctor if there is trouble swallowing, bloody or black stools, chest or shoulder pain with shortness of breath, or unexplained weight loss. The directions for use include taking one capsule a day with a glass of water before eating in the morning for 14 days, not taking more than one capsule a day, and swallowing the capsule whole without chewing.
