Up And Up Pepto Bismol Regular Strength (302 Uw Digestive Relief)
This is a Drug Facts label for an upset stomach reliever and antidiarrheal liquid medication. The active ingredient in each 30 mL dose cup is bismuth subsalicylate 525 mg. The medication is intended for adults and children over 12 years old and should not exceed 8 doses in 24 hours. It is not recommended to use the medication for more than 2 days or for children under 12 years old without consulting a doctor. The medication may cause harmless darkening of the stool or tongue. It contains salicylate and should not be used if the individual is allergic to salicylates (including aspirin) or taking other salicylate products. If symptoms worsen or last more than 2 days, or if ringing in the ears or loss of hearing occurs, a doctor should be consulted. Children and teenagers who have or are recovering from chickenpox or flu-like symptoms should not use this product due to the risk of Reye's syndrome.
