Bedside-CareĀ® Perineal Wash is a perineal skin cleanser that works as a no-rinse solution for any clean-up of the perineal area. It is also an antiseptic solution that contains 0.1% benzethonium chloride as its active ingredient, which helps to protect against bacterial contamination that can result from minor cuts, scrapes, and burns. It is important to keep this solution away from the eyes and not to use it with deep or puncture wounds, serious burns, or animal bites. Keep it out of reach of children and if swallowed, seek medical help immediately. To use, shake the bottle and spray it on the affected area and then wipe it away using a soft washcloth. It also helps to remove urine, feces, and other foreign material. It can also be sprayed into an ostomy or incontinence appliance to help control odor. The product is manufactured by Coloplast in Denmark and distributed by their Minneapolis, MN location.*
