Extra Strength TumsĀ® are chewable tablets that provide fast relief for heartburn, upset stomach, and acid indigestion. Each tablet contains 750 mg of calcium carbonate which acts as an antacid to alleviate symptoms. However, it is important to ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if taking prescription drugs. The maximum dosage is 10 tablets in 24 hours for adults and children over 12 years, and for pregnant women, it is limited to 6 tablets. The product should not be used for more than 2 weeks unless advised by a doctor. The tablets contain adipic acid, dextrose, maltodextrin, and starch as inactive ingredients, and flavors, magnesium stearate, and sucralose.
