This is a description of an extra strength gel containing 2% Diphenhydramine HCI that acts as a topical analgesic. It is used for temporarily relieving pain and itching due to insect bites, minor skin irritations, cuts, rashes caused by poison ivy, oak, and sumac, and minor burns. The gel is not meant for children under 2 years old, it should not be used on large areas of the body, and must not be used with other diphenhydramine products taken orally.
