This is a description of an extra strength gel containing 2% Diphenhydramine HCI that acts as a topical analgesic. It is used for temporarily relieving pain and itching due to insect bites, minor skin irritations, cuts, rashes caused by poison ivy, oak, and sumac, and minor burns. The gel is not meant for children under 2 years old, it should not be used on large areas of the body, and must not be used with other diphenhydramine products taken orally. There are warnings to avoid contact with eyes, to ask a doctor if conditions worsen or persist for more than 7 days, and to keep it out of children's reach. The inactive ingredients are purified water, SD alcohol 40-B, propylene glycol, diazolidiny! urea, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, camphor, methylparaben, citric acid, sodium citrate, and propylparaben. The product should be kept between 20 to 25°C (68" to 77°F). This product is not manufactured or distributed by McNeil-PPC, Inc., the owner of the registered trademark Benadryl®.*
