Neomycin, Polymyxin B, and Bacitracin Zinc Ophthalmic Ointment is a sterile product that should only be used for ophthalmic purposes. The product contains Neomycin Sulfate, Polymyxin B Sulfate, and Bacitracin Zinc. Each gram of the ointment contains 3.5mg of Neomycin Sulfate (equivalent to neomycin in base), 10,000 polymyxin B units of Polymyxin B Sulfate, and 400 bacitracin units of Bacitracin Zinc. The ointment uses white petrolatum as inactive. The package insert should be consulted for information on the usual dosage to ensure proper usage. Neomycin and Polymyxin B Sulfates, and Bacitracin Zinc Ophthalmic Ointment, USP is a sterile medication for ophthalmic use. Each gram of this ointment contains Neomycin Sulfate, Polymyxin B Sulfate, and Bacitracin Zinc. It is used to cure eye infections, and the dosage recommended is applying it to the affected eye every 3 or 4 hours, up to 7 to 10 days, depending on the severity of the infection. Proper storage of this medication is essential. It should be kept at a controlled room temperature between 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F), and tightly closed.
