Erythromycin Lactobionate for Injection is a sterile powder for intravenous use only. It is benzyl alcohol-free and when mixed as directed produces a concentration of 50 mg of erythromycin activity per mL. Each vial contains erythromycin lactobionate equivalent to 500 mg of erythromycin. The initial solution is stable for two weeks in the refrigerator or 24 hours at room temperature. The initial dilution should be prepared with 10mL of sterile water for injection without preservatives. Storage temperature should be between 20°C to 25°C.
