HiDex is an oral steroid therapy medication used for tapering purposes. It contains dexamethasone, USP 15mg per tablet. The tablets should be taken as per the instructions provided by the healthcare practitioner. The first six tablets are required to be taken on the day of receiving the prescription, and if received late in the day, three tablets should be taken during the evening meal and three to be taken at bedtime, with a minimum gap of three hours in between. The remaining tablets should be taken following the prescribed dosage. The medicine should not be discontinued without consulting with a healthcare practitioner and stored at 20° to 25°C. The medication is not bioequivalent to any dexamethasone 1.5mg and has no generic substitute.*
