This is a drug description for TAB TUSSIN, an expectorant cough suppressant. It contains Dextromethophan HBr 20mg and Guaifenesin 400mg as active ingredients per tablet. It is used to temporarily relieve cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation, as well as to loosen phlegm (mucus) and thin bronchial secretions to rid the bronchial passageways of bothersome mucus. It is intended for adults and children over 12 and should be taken as directed unless advised otherwise by a doctor. If symptoms are accompanied by fever, rash or persistent headache or cough persists for more than 1 week or tends to recur, a doctor should be contacted immediately. *
