This is a drug fact sheet for an eye lubricant in the form of eye drops. The active ingredient is Cabogmetylcelluosesodum and it is used to relieve dryness or prevent irritation in the eye. The eye drops are sterile and should be used externally only. It is advised not to touch the eye dropper to any surface to prevent contamination and to remove contact lenses before using the drops. The product should not be used if the solution changes color or becomes cloudy. If excessive watering, burning, foreign body sensation, or continued redness or irritation occurs, a doctor should be consulted immediately. The bottle should be stored between 59°F-86°F. Other inactive ingredients include Boric acid, calcium chloride, glycerin, magnesium chloride, and potassium chloride, among others. The bottle comes with a tamper-evident ring attached to the cap to ensure product safety and should be discarded if the ring is absent or broken.
