This is a drug facts label for a pain reliever that contains aspirin as the active ingredient. It is intended for the temporary relief of minor aches and pains but should not be used for headaches or other symptoms needing immediate relief. The product may cause severe stomach bleeding, and individuals who have had stomach ulcers or bleeding problems, are on blood-thinning medication or steroid medication, are over 60 or drink 3 or more alcoholic drinks per day are at higher risk. Like other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), it may also cause allergic reactions, and individuals who have asthma, high blood pressure, heart disease, kidney disease, liver cirrhosis, or who are taking a diuretic should consult with a doctor or pharmacist before use. Individuals who are pregnant or breastfeeding should also consult their doctor before use.*
