NDC 16110-518-15 is the code for Altabax, a retapamulin ointment with a concentration of 1%. Each gram of ointment contains 10 mg of retapamulin in white petrolatum. It is manufactured by Almirall and is meant for dermatological use only. It should not be used in the eyes, on the mouth or lips, or inside the nose. Altabax is to be applied twice a day for 5 days in a thin layer to the affected area. If there is no clinical response within 3 to 4 days, patients should be re-evaluated.
