Chemical-structure (Tazorac 01)
Tazarotene is a medication used for the treatment of psoriasis, acne, and fine wrinkles. It is a retinoid, which means it is derived from vitamin A and works by slowing down the growth of skin cells, reducing inflammation, and regulating the immune system. Tazarotene comes in different forms such as cream, foam, or gel, and can be applied topically to the affected area once a day. It may cause skin irritation, dryness, or peeling as side effects but is generally well-tolerated.*
