The shampoo contains selenium sulfide, alpha-tocopheryl acetate, ammonium laurel sulfate, butylated hydroxytoluene, cetyl alcohol, cocamidopropyl betaine, disodium EDTA, D&C yellow #10, FD&C red #40, fragrance, methylparaben, panthenol, propylene glycol, propylparaben, purified water, pyrithionezing, sodium thiosulfate, stearyl alcohol, triacetin, urea, and xanthan gum. The clinical pharmacology of selenium sulfide is that it reduces comeocyte production in the epidermis and follicular epithelium. This medication is contraindicated for individuals with hypersensitivity to any of the listed ingredients. It is not to be used on broken skin or inflamed areas and is only for external use. Pregnant and nursing women should use caution, and effectiveness in children has not been established.*
