COSOPT® PF 2%/0.5% is an ophthalmic solution containing dorzolamide HCI-timolol maleate and is distributed by Akorn, Inc. This product is available only by prescription.*

This is a prescription ophthalmic solution containing dorzolamide HCl-timolol maleate. The solution is used for topical application in the eye, is sterile and preservative-free. The active ingredients in 1mL of the solution are 22.3mg of Dorzolamide Hydrochloride equivalent to 20mg of dorzolamide (2%) and 6.8mg of Timolol Maleate equivalent to 5mg of timolol (0.5%). The solution must be stored in the original pouch between 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F) and not to be frozen. The solution must be discarded 15 days after first opening the pouch. The usual dosage is one drop in the morning and one drop in the evening in the affected eye(s). The solution must be used immediately after opening in either one or both eyes, and any unused single-use containers must be thrown away after use.*

This is a description for an eye medication called (dorzolamide HCI-timolol maleate ophthalmic solution) 2%/0.5%. The solution comes in a box with 60 single-use containers stored in four pouches, with each container holding 0.2mL of the solution. The usual dosage is one drop in the affected eye(s) in the morning and one drop in the evening. The solution contains active ingredients of 20mg dorzolamide and 0.5% timolol. The medication must be used immediately upon opening the container and should be discarded after use. It must be stored in the original pouch without freezing and protected from light.
