This is the description of Cheracol D' Cough Formula, a cough suppressant drug. It contains active ingredients like Dextromethorphan HBr and Guaifenesin which temporarily alleviate coughs resulting from minor throat and bronchial irritation due to the common cold by quieting coughs and loosening phlegm and bronchial secretions. The drug is not to be used if the patient is currently taking any prescription Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitor, certain drugs for depression or psychiatric/emotional condition, or Parkinson's disease or for 2 weeks after stopping the medication or with a persistent chronic cough or excessive phlegm. Adults and children 12 years and above may take 2 teaspoonsful every 4 hours. Children from 6 years to under 12 years of age may use 1 teaspoonful every 4 hours. Children under 6 years of age may use this drug but only with a doctor's consultation. The drug is manufactured by Lee Pharmaceuticals in South El Monte, CA 91733, and contains 4.75% alcohol.*

Cheracol D is a cough formula that provides maximum strength cough relief. It is strong enough for adults but safe for children 6 years and over, containing 4.75% alcohol. The medicine helps quiet dry, hacking coughs and loosen phlegm and mucus while draining bronchial tubes. Cheracol D should only be given to children under six years of age under the advice and supervision of a physician. It should not be taken for persistent or chronic coughs unless directed by a doctor. Cheracol D contains Dexiromelhorptaz hydrobromide (10mg) and guaifenesin (100mg), and should not be used with prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs). Store Cheracol D at a temperature of 15° - 30°C (59° - 36F).*
