The drug is not to be used if the patient is currently taking any prescription Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitor, certain drugs for depression or psychiatric/emotional condition, or Parkinson's disease or for 2 weeks after stopping the medication or with a persistent chronic cough or excessive phlegm. Adults and children 12 years and above may take 2 teaspoonsful every 4 hours. Children from 6 years to under 12 years of age may use 1 teaspoonful every 4 hours. Children under 6 years of age may use this drug but only with a doctor's consultation. The drug is manufactured by Lee Pharmaceuticals in South El Monte, CA 91733, and contains 4.75% alcohol.*

Cheracol D should only be given to children under six years of age under the advice and supervision of a physician. It should not be taken for persistent or chronic coughs unless directed by a doctor. Cheracol D contains Dexiromelhorptaz hydrobromide (10mg) and guaifenesin (100mg), and should not be used with prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs). Store Cheracol D at a temperature of 15° - 30°C (59° - 36F).*
