This is a box of 100 chewable tablets containing Calcium carbonate USP 500mg per tablet, which is primarily used as an antacid to relieve heartburn, acid indigestion, sour stomach, and upset stomach. However, it can also be used as a daily dietary supplement of extra calcium. The product should not be taken if the printed seal under the cap is torn or missing, and a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted before use if the individual is taking a prescription drug as antacids may interact with certain prescription drugs. Directions for use indicate that 2-4 tablets should be chewed as symptoms occur or as directed by a doctor, and not more than 15 tablets should be taken in 24 hours. The maximum dosage should not be used for more than two weeks. The product should be kept out of reach of children and stored below 30°C (86°F). The Supplement Facts indicate that two tablets are a single serving containing 400mg of calcium (40%) along with some inactive ingredients such as sucrose, corn starch, and natural flavors. The product is gluten-free and is manufactured in Mexico by Pro-ventas S.A de C.V. and distributed by Midway Importing Inc.*
