Polymyxin B Sulfate and Trimethoprim Ophthalmic Solution, USP, is a sterile solution used for topical application in the eye. It contains 10,000 polymyxin B units and trimethoprim sulfate, along with purified water, sodium chloride, and benzalkonium chloride (0.004%) as preservative. The usual dosage is one drop in the affected eye(s) every three hours. The solution is distributed by Bausch + Lomb, a division of Bausch Health US, LLC, and manufactured by Bausch & Lomb Incorporated. It should be stored between 15° and 25°C and protected from light. The solution does not meet the USP packaging specification for light resistance and should be retained in the carton until time of use. The product should not be used if the neckband is not intact.*
