Prior to application, clean the area to be treated with a washcloth and warm water, avoiding the use of soaps or other cleansers. To apply the medication, rub gently on the sore and surrounding area, taking care not to cause damage to the skin. Keep the applicator saturated at all times and use all the medication in the vial. Additional treatments may be necessary, and in some cases, a lesion may recur and require additional treatment. To use, remove the vial from the package, hold the white applicator tip downward, and allow the medication to saturate the applicator. The vial should be disposed of after use, and the medication should be used as directed.*
