Product Images Ceftazidime

This package insert provides instructions for the preparation and administration of a Pharmacy Bulk Package bottle containing ceftazidime. Before constitution, the bottle should be stored between 20°C-25°C and protected from light. The pressure inside the bottle will increase upon the addition of the diluent, prompting instructions for constitution to be closely followed. The constituted solution can be made by adding 26 mL of Sterile Water for Injection into the bottle, after which the solution should be shaken thoroughly to dissolve. Slight yellow discoloration will not affect potency. The solution contains approximately 1g of ceftazidime activity per 5mL and is composed of 708mg of sodium carbonate. The container closure is sterile, nonpyrogenic, and preservative-free, and is not made with natural rubber latex.
