This is a single-dose container of sterile, preservative-free, and PVC-free magnesium sulfate in water for injection with a volume of 50 mL. The container closure is made without natural rubber latex. The solution has a concentration of 2 grams of magnesium sulfate heptahydrate per 50 mL, which is equivalent to 16.25 mEq magnesium or 0325 mEq Mg per mL. The solution may have sulfuric acid and/or sodium hydroxide to adjust the pH level, which is between 3.5 to 6.5. The osmolarity of the solution is 325 mOsmol/Liter (CALC.). Users must not use this solution in series connections. It is manufactured by SAGENT Pharmaceuticals in Schaumburg, IL, and made in India. The package has further instructions for storage, dosage, and use.*
