Dosage: Adults should take one capsule orally four times per day with plenty of fluids. The dosage for pediatric patients should be determined by a physician for older children. However, it is not recommended for children under the age of six. Make sure to read the product literature for complete prescribing information.
Storage: Keep this medication in a cool, dry place at a controlled room temperature of 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F). Dispense it in a tightly sealed, light-resistant container with a child-resistant closure as defined in the USP/NF.
This medication, called URIMAR-T.CAPS, is a urinary antiseptic. Each capsule contains methenamine, sodium phosphate monobasic, phenyl salicylate, methylene blue, and hyoscyamine sulfate.
Important precautions: Do not take this medication if you are also taking serotonergic psychiatric medications due to the presence of methylene blue. Patients should be aware that their urine may be colored blue to blue-green while taking this medication.
Tamper-evident seal: Do not use the medication if the seal is broken or missing.
