This text is a Drug Facts label for HISTEX-DIV syrup. The syrup is an antihistamine decongestant that is used to relieve symptoms related to the common cold, hay fever, or other upper respiratory allergies. These symptoms include cough, runny nose, sneezing, itching of the nose or throat, watery eyes, and nasal congestion. The usual dosage is one teaspoon (5 mL) every four hours, not to exceed 2 teaspoons (10 mL) in 24 hours, or as directed by a doctor. The syrup contains dextromethorphan HBr, phenylephrine HCI, and triprolidine HCI. It is sugar-free, dye-free, and alcohol-free, and comes in grape flavor. The syrup should be stored at 15°-30° C (59°-86° F) and kept out of reach of children. If pregnant or breastfeeding, it is advisable to consult a doctor before use.*
