Dulcolax is a laxative used for the temporary relief of occasional constipation and irregularity. Each tablet contains 5mg of Bisacodyl, a stimulant laxative that generally produces bowel movement within 6-12 hours. The product should not be used if unable to swallow without chewing, and it is advised to ask a doctor before use if experiencing stomach pain, nausea or vomiting, sudden changes in bowel habits lasting more than 2 weeks or rectal bleeding. The product should not be used for more than 1 week, chewed or crushed or used within one hour of taking an antacid or milk. Children under 6 should not use the product without consulting with a doctor.
