This is an over-the-counter allergy medication for children that is comparable to the active ingredient in Children's Benadryl Allergy Liquid. It is an oral solution that contains diphenhydramine HCI and is used to temporarily relieve symptoms of hay fever and respiratory allergies such as runny nose, sneezing, itchy and watery eyes, and itchy throat or nose. The medication is alcohol-free and cherry-flavored. It comes with a dosing cup and should be taken every 4-10 hours as directed by a doctor. It is not recommended for children under 2 years old, and children between 2-5 years should only take it under the guidance of a pediatrician. If accidentally overdosed, medical help should be sought immediately. The medication should be stored away from light, in its original carton, and not be used if the printed neckband is missing or broken. The inactive ingredients of the medication include anhydrous citric acid, DBC red 753, FDEC red 40, flavor, glycerin, high fructose corn syrup, poloxamer 407, purified water, sodium benzoate, sodium chloride, sodium citrate, and sorbitol solution.
