The swabstick contains 10% Povidone Iodine USP, equivalent to 1% titratable iodine, and is used as a healthcare antiseptic for preparing the skin prior to surgery or as a first aid treatment to prevent skin infection in minor cuts, scrapes, and burns. The product is for external use only and should not be used in the eyes or on individuals allergic or sensitive to iodine. Users should apply the swab to the affected area and avoid applying it over large areas of the body for no longer than a week without a doctor's direction. The inactive ingredients include citric acid, alkyl glucoside, hydroxyethyl cellulose, nonoxynol-10, glycerin, sodium hydroxide, potassium iodide, and purified water.
