This is a drug facts sheet for a first-aid antiseptic product containing 10% Povidone-lodine, equivalent to 1% titratable iodine, to prevent infection in minor cuts and burns. The product is manufactured and distributed by H-E-B, San Antonio, Texas, and is not associated with Betadine, which is a registered trademark of Purdue Products. The antiseptic solution is for external use only and should not be used on deep or puncture wounds, serious burns or animal bites. If the condition persists or worsens, or if irritation, redness or discomfort develops and persists for more than 72 hours, stop using the product and consult a doctor. The antiseptic solution should not be used in the eyes, on individuals allergic or sensitive to iodine, on large areas of the body, or for more than one week unless directed by a doctor. The product should be applied 1 to 3 times daily after cleaning the affected area and can be covered with a sterile bandage. The antiseptic solution should be stored at a room temperature of 20-25°C. The product contains citric acid, disodium phosphate, glycerin, nonoxynol-9, sodium hydroxide and purified water as inactive ingredients.*
