This is a comparison between Mucus Relief DM and Mucinex DM. Mucus Relief DM contains guaifenesin (600 mg) that helps to relieve chest congestion by loosening phlegm and dextromethorphan HBr (30 mg) that suppresses cough. The product works to control cough, and is available in 40 extended-release tablets. The use of the product is for temporary relief of cough caused due to minor bronchial and throat irritation. It is not recommended for use with other monoamine oxidase inhibitors, and should not be used if there is a persistent cough accompanied by excessive phlegm. If symptoms persist for over a week, medical attention should be sought. This product should not be used for children under 12 years of age.*
