The active ingredient is Benzalkonium Chloride 0.13% which is an antibacterial agent used for handwashing to decrease bacteria on the skin. The soap comes in a 16.9 Fl Oz (500mL) bottle and the directions for use are to pump onto hands, wet as needed, lather for at least 15 seconds, wash skin, rinse thoroughly and dry.
