Equaline 10% Povidone-iodine solution is a water-soluble, USP grade topical antiseptic. It is effective in reducing bacteria and helping to prevent infection in minor scrapes, cuts, and burns. It is suitable for first aid and general hygiene purposes. The solution can be applied 1-3 times a day and may be covered with a sterile bandage. The product should not be used on individuals who are allergic or sensitive to iodine. It should not be used for more than a week, and medical advice should be sought if the condition worsens. The inactive ingredients of the product include divic acid, glycerin, Makon 8, purified water, and sodium hydroxide. The product should be stored at room temperature between 15-30°C.
