This is a description of Extra Strength Tums Antacid tablets. Each tablet contains 750mg of calcium carbonate USP as an active ingredient for fast relief of heartburn, acid indigestion, and other symptoms associated with sour stomach or upset stomach. The product should be used as directed and should not be taken for more than 2 weeks without the advice and supervision of a doctor. The tablets must be chewed and adults and children over 12 years old should not take more than 10 tablets in 24 hours. Pregnant women should not take more than 6 tablets in 24 hours. The product may interact with certain prescription drugs, thus patients presently taking a prescription drug should consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.
