This is a drug fact for the regular strength Tums tablets. Each tablet contains 500mg of calcium carbonate and is designed to provide fast relief of upset stomach, heartburn, and acid indigestion. The peppermint-flavored tablets can be chewed as symptoms occur, but adults and children 12 or older should not take more than 15 tablets within 24 hours. Pregnant women should not take more than 10 tablets in 24 hours. If symptoms persist for more than two weeks, users should consult a doctor. The tablets are gluten-free and include inactive ingredients like dextrose, flavors, magnesium stearate, mattodextrin, starch, and sucralose.*
