This is a Drug Facts label for AleveĀ® Caplets. Each caplet contains 220mg of naproxen sodium, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to relieve pain, fever, and inflammation. It is used for headache, toothache, menstrual cramps, muscle aches, and arthritis. The label provides information about directions, warnings, and precautions, including the risk of stomach bleeding, which may be increased in people 60 and older or with a history of stomach ulcers or bleeding problems. It also warns against using this product with other NSAIDs, as this may increase the risk of side effects, including heart attack and stroke. The label advises against use during pregnancy or breastfeeding without a doctor's advice. In the case of overdose, it advises contacting poison control immediately. The inactive ingredients in each caplet include sodium 22mg, Fo&C tiv no. 2 aluminum lake, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, povidone, and titanium dioxide.*
