This is a drug information sheet for Careone Anti-Diarrheal Oral Solution, which contains 1mg Loperamide Hydrochloride per 7.5 mL. This medication is used to control the symptoms of diarrhea, including traveler's diarrhea. It has an allergy alert which cautions users not to take it if they have an allergy to the medication's active ingredient Loperamide Hydrochloride. There is also a warning for users not to exceed the recommended dosage, as doing so can cause serious heart problems or even death. Users are advised that drowsiness or dizziness may occur after taking the medication. It also warns not to use it for bloody or black stool or mucus in the stool. Other warnings are given for a history of liver disease, abnormal heart rhythm or if a user is taking prescription drugs. Directions for use are also given.*
