Metronidazole Gel USP 0.75% is a topical medication used to treat skin infections caused by certain bacteria. Each gram of the gel contains 7.5 mg of metronidazole as the active ingredient, along with 0.8 g of methylparaben and 0.2 mg of propylparaben as preservatives. The gel is applied a thin film on affected areas after washing, usually twice a day or as directed by a physician. The package insert contains full information on usage, and the gel should not be applied close to the eye. The gel should be stored at 20°C-25°C and kept out of the reach of children.
