This is a drug facts label for a product with NDC 43063-801-60. The product contains 400 mg of Guaifenesin, an expectorant and 20 mg of Dextrometharphan HBr, a cough suppressant. It is used to relieve cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation, and to make coughs more productive. It comes in the form of tablets which can be taken without regard to meal timings. Adults and children 12 years of age and over can take one tablet every four hours not exceeding more than six doses in 24 hours or as directed by the doctor. Children between the ages of 6 to 12 years can take half a tablet every 4 hours. A doctor should be consulted if the cough lasts more than 7 days or comes back. If the drug is being taken and a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) is being prescribed, it should not be used until 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. It is advised to consult the doctor before using the product if pregnant, breastfeeding, or have persistent or chronic coughing or cough accompanied by too much mucus.*
