bioCorneum HC gel is a silicone-based scar treatment that contains 1% hydrocortisone acetate for relief from skin irritation, inflammation and itch caused by scars resulting from surgery, cosmetic procedures, trauma, wounds or burns. The product forms an invisible protective silicone sheet over the affected area that is flexible, waterproof and breathable, and helps to protect the underlying tissue against chemical, physical and microbial invasion. The patented silicone formulation in bioCorneum HC has been shown to flatten, soften and smooth scars, relieve the itching and discomfort of scars and reduce the discoloration associated with scars.
