This is a fluoride treatment gel used to help prevent dental decay. It is for professional office use only and not intended for home or unsupervised consumer use. The gel is applied onto teeth after prophylaxis using single or dual trays for one to four minutes to achieve 80% or 100% effectiveness, respectively. The gel should then be expectorated, and no eating or drinking should be done for at least 30 minutes. The active ingredient is 1.23% fluoride ion, and the inactive ingredients include Citric Acid, FD&C Red #40, Flavor, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Phosphoric Acid, Polysorbate 20, Sodium Benzoate, Sodium Saccharin, Titanium Dioxide, Water, Xanthan Gum, and Xylitol. It comes in a 16oz (454g) package, and it should be stored at a controlled temperature between 59°F and 86°F to protect from freezing.*
