Fluotide I60 1.23% is a thixotropic fluoride treatment gel that is designed for in-office patient use only to help prevent dental decay. Its stable formula is available in either 2.09% Sodium Fluoride or Hydrofluoric Acid, with a one-minute or four-minute application time. The gel should only be administered after prophylaxis, and patients should bite down lightly but firmly on trays filled with one-third of the gel for a specific time period depending on their desired level of effectiveness. Fluotide gel cannot be used at home or unsupervised. It contains inactive ingredients such as Citric Acid, Polysorbate 20, and Xanthan Gum, among others, and warns the user not to swallow the product, keep it out of children’s reach, and seek medical help if any accidental ingestion. The product should be stored at a temperature between 59°F to 86°F and is available for purchase through Burkhart Dental Supply.*
