Sumadan is a wash containing Sodium Sulfacetamide and Sulphur 4.5%, in a moisturising Novasome vehicle. It is manufactured by Medimetriks Pharmaceuticals, Inc. The product is indicated for the topical control of acne, rosacea and seborrheic dermatitis. The directions of use advise applying the Sumadan Wash once or twice a day to affected areas and massaging gently into the skin for 10-20 seconds. It must be kept away from the eyes and mucous membranes. The product is contraindicated for patients having known hypersensitivity to sulfonamides, sulfur, or any other component of this preparation and patients with kidney diseases should not use it.
