This is a description of a medication called Bio-G-Tuss Pediatric Drops, that contains Dextromethorphan HBr (a cough suppressant), Guaifenesin (an expectorant), and Phenylephring HCL (a decongestant). It is used to temporarily relieve congestion due to allergies or as a result of a cold, as well as to help loosen mucus and bronchial secretions to make coughs more productive. The medication is not recommended for children with certain health conditions, such as heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid disease, or diabetes. The medication should not be used for more than a week, and if symptoms persist, a doctor should be consulted. It is available in grape flavor, and comes in a 60 mL bottle.*
